So what does everyone think of the situation in Louisville? I watched part of the Outside The Lines segment, and I have to say that her story seems pretty believable. Do you think Pitino knew what about it? Should he have known? Do you think he'll survive, if they can't prove that he knew something about it?

Louisville bball is going to get crushed by ncaa.
For me, the most disturbing part of the story is that the lady pimped out her two daughters. I don't know how someone could do that

Isn't it every businessperson's dream, to have their kids come and work in the family business? Just kidding, of course. The whole story is very sordid. Personally, I don't see how Pitino couldn't have known something about it, even if he had no direct involvement. I'm sure they probably intentionally kept him in the dark about the gory details, but I have to believe that he had at least some vague knowledge of the situation. Either way though, I believe he'll eventually lose his job over this.

The most damning thing is the $. I believe I saw somewhere that the assistant that arranged it all had a salary of under $50k/year. Yet he paid over $10k to this lady. Following the money trail could get interesting.

Yes, but that was spread over four years, so that's only $2,500 per year. That being said though, I do agree with you that it seems fairly likely that this was funded by someone higher up the food chain.

Look at the bright side, if Pitino does lose his job there is always a job possibility at the college to the west...
This is a very disgusting story. May not see them around for a while. Heads better roll.

with something this big he's in a lose-lose. he either knew all about it and should be fired. or he was completely in the dark, incompetent, and should be fired...
i've always really liked pitino but this just doesn't surprise me. as a gophers fan...i hope hos son doesn't try and pull the same crap.
