What does this even mean?

When you say your team is still in let down mode three weeks later. Stitt said that about grizz per Twitter.
@SkylineSportsMT: Notes from #BigSkyFB coaches call: Stitt said letdown carried over into the road trip to Liberty,a 31-21 loss.
And...
@SkylineSportsMT: Notes from #BigSkyFB coaches call: Stitt - when you are thinking about a game like NDSU and you have success, it's natural to have let down
Yeah. Until you get beat a week later at home. Then you get a week off. Shouldn't the letdown be over by then?

Wow. Not exactly what I'd want to be hearing if I was a Griz fan or player for that matter.

If you were a grizz fan you'd say he's being innovative. If Ash said this grizz fans would be all over it.

hes a DII coach that added a feature to a common play and thinks hes an offensive genius, Its just another one of his innovative ways of blaming anybody but the coaching.
I didn't hear it, but the wife heard his radio show last night and said he pretty much threw everybody under the bus and then ran over them with it.

You guys are reaching a bit on this one. It was a quote from the weekly Big Sky Coaches conference call. He said this:
On Big Sky conf call: Coach Stitt says when youre thinking about a game like NDSU for so long and you have success, it's natural to let down
Followed by:
Sttt: You don't expect it to last more than the next week but Griz have been slow for a couple weeks now
So he is agreeing with your thoughts here, that there shouldn't be this long of a hangover. I personally like what Kramer had to say more:
ISU's Mike Kramer "Did any defensive players got off the bus in Cheney last weekend? My God!"
I'm guessing Ash and Baldwin didn't love that comment. He at least followed it up with, "we still have to play both those teams and my defensive coordinators are starting anti-depressants"
Not quite Yogi Berra but always good for a quote. RIP Yogi

This is gold too......shouldn't you be more worried about your own coach's latest comments:
Quick summary:
- said Prukop could have done more at EWU (even though he single handedly kept the cats in the game)
- said he went for it on fourth twice because he had absolutely no confidence in his defense to make a stop and that he knew
EWU would score at will
I'm guessing that can't sit well with the defensive players or coaches. Maybe that's his weird way of motivating. Who knows.

Your explanation makes it sound worse.

How so? Help me understand. I see it as being human....trying to figure out what he and the staff need to do to get these guys back go playing good football. Back to looking like they did against NDSU where they weren't making so many mistakes. He is admitting they habve let down their level of play for a couple of weeks now and knows that is not good nor acceptable. Am I confused?

Fun with quotes. I wonder how Prukop responded to those comments? How about Ioane?

I'm guessing if they were anything like me or my college teammates, they said "coach is right, you can always do more out there". That is what I would expect at least.
