Griz are banged up too

Post by Platinumcat » Wed Oct 12, 2005 11:35 am

I saw this in the Missoulian today. Are these just bumps and bruises? Or, is there more serious injuries (aside from Washington's separated shoulder)?

The Griz held several players out of contact drills Tuesday, including defensive ends Mike Murphy and Dustin Dlouhy, defensive tackle Alan Saenz, linebacker Shane MacIntyre and running back JR Waller.

”Our injury list is two pages long,“ Hauck said. ”This is as banged up as we've been since I've been here. It's early in the week. I'm hoping we can get everybody back. But as of Tuesday, we're pretty banged up.“

Linebacker Tyler Joyce and cornerback Chris Clark, who each left the ISU game, practiced at full speed Tuesday.

The one place the Griz can't afford to have injuries coming into Saturday's game is on the defensive side. I don't know how true these injuries are, or how serious, but I know Hauck likes to report fallacies to the media as a game strategy. We'll see I guess.

Saenz is the only one on that list who missed any game action against ISU because of injury. I agree though we cannot have defensive players miss this game!

However, DT Kelly Kain, who was just starting to look like he has stepped up his game to the next level hasn't played in the last two games.

The do have a ton of injuries, many are not know or thought about. Like Hawthorne's. Loosing Hawthorne at LB is pretty significant, considering we also lost the guy who was barely ahead of him, Utterback. Look out if these two both come back.

What fallacies has Hauck reported to the media?

The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

That Washington might be the starting quarterback against Idaho St. :?

The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.
