Griz Fans

Post by catatac » Mon Aug 31, 2015 11:47 am

God, how unbearable are they going to be from here on out? I'm already sick of some of the cockiness I'm seeing\hearing. Hopefully CP or Liberty takes them down just to notch them down a peg or two. I wonder if their new philosophy could lead to an end of season drop off due to player fatigue... as we've started to see once we decided to run a bunch more plays? One thing's for sure.... we are in for one hell of a season in the big Sky. :D

Even in their shining moment on national television, some idiot finds a way to give cause to the university to issue a formal apology. That is truly embarrassing. Some troll saying Stitt is the only coach that goes for it on 4th and doesn't huddle is actually pretty humorous. I don't mind it. Anyway, my prediction of a 1-2 start for UM is alive and well. The For Sale signs still could hit Stitt's front yard as early as mid season. Time will tell.

edit: my autocorrect always makes Stitt into Still. Makes me laugh every time.

Already hiding "friends" on fb and blocking certain numbers on my phone. Unbearable is too nice a word. And, like always, the true UM alum fans are WAY better than the other kind. I'm pretty sure I've been in WaGriz more times than most of them. They are kings of the world now. All bow down or prepare to receive multiple insults.

Got a text from a griz "friend" last week. He tells me that he just got this new hat and it says, "FTC". Then he says, "Do you even know what that means?" uh. really? Nope. Never heard of that. But what does a GIRL Cat fan know about all this foosball business. eyeroll.

Time to refill the bp meds and replenish the liquor cabinet. I am SO in need of Thursday. Let's Rock This House! (Again, don't know what that means. Just saw it on a tshirt)

=D^ =D^

I have the same problem with my father-in law. He will ask me a question and then when I start giving him details he just ignores me because "girls" can't know of what they speak. [-X

What's their scouting report? I know the griz like to play them.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Yep... well stated. I can't tell you the number of times I've heard "The Griz are back!" in the past two days. All I've been doing is telling them congrats, they played a hell of a game, nothing but compliments for them from this end. However, I'm also offering to bet anyone that the Griz aren't going undefeated in this conference, and nobody has bet me yet, so I think that as cocky as they are they realize it was only one game. :)

All I have to say is that I am surprised at a team that has 3 turnovers and a QB that throws a little over 50% was able to beat NDSU, I guess it just shows how much the Bison lost last year.

I'm sorry you feel that way. All fan bases have idiots that have unreal and unfounded expectations when something great happens. Remember some of the posts here (and on other forums) when Prukop came out nowhere and lit up the field?

Again, sorry you feel that way but it goes both ways.

It was one game, that is all.

Credit Montana for playing a good team and pulling out a gutsy win. Credit Montana for putting together a new offense in just 1 offseason and competing at a very high level with that new offense. Had MSU played and beat NDSU everyone of us knows their fans would be just as jacked as the average griz fan, especially with the seasons of Delaney ball Us griz fans have endured. NDSU maybe doesn't have quite the defense it had last year, but it did have a more veteran offensive line than any of their 4 championship years....kleimans words not mine. Behind that veteran line they did have a veteran QB fresh off winning a national title. I'm with the ,"it's just one game, now go get a mustang," crowd. I'm also very excited about the team that took the field and beat a 4 time defending champ last Saturday!

GO GRIZ!

^^You're really just helping to make our point. I, for one, don't give a hill of beans about your game on Saturday. If both teams could have lost, I'd have been pretty happy with that. I only root for one team. We don't need a game recap. I promise you we've already heard. Several times. Every day. I'm not trying to take any glory away from teams that played a lights out game. The point is, Cat fans didn't have a dog in the fight and we get sick of the diarrhea mouth and chest beating. Someone texted me one of those memes that said, "This weekend the griz will play the most epic game of the century. And, as usual, the Bobcats are sitting at home". Seriously? Our schedule hadn't even started yet. Just so dumb. And so typical. My eyes are already tired of rolling and we haven't even kicked off the season yet.

As long as Haslam is around I wouldn't count on it. Guy has done nothing but hit home runs since he started.

Ya, I'm also super sick of hearing scheduling comments from Griz Nation. They're conveniently forgetting that most years they also schedule a cupcake, and they're also forgetting that most years we play a FBS team, and the Griz don't.

Wyoming. NDSU. Washington. Oregon. Washington again. I would put that level of scheduled competition up against any non-conference schedule of opponents in the BSC.

The grizz played Ft. Lewis in 2005 and 2007. The only year they didn't play a D2 they went 5-6. They played Western State in 2009 and 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if UW and Oregon scratch those games ala the Big Ten.

Well, at least we're in agreement! Wyoming. NDSU. Washington. Oregon. Washington again. Darn tough. Don't see a tougher schedule out there.
