I get a kick out of this. I especially love the eye roll, mocking Stitt about playing fast...

Definitely not underselling his team, is he?

If that dude was selling me a car, I'm pretty sure I'd end up paying twice what it was worth and feel pretty good about doing it.

At first I thought he was talking about Farhaad Azimi...

I get the complete opposite reaction. No way I'd buy from him. Rubs me wrong--always has.

Great coach! Out of all the former Bobcat coaches (both assistant and head) he has to be my favorite. I know he's at ISU for the long haul but a part of me wants to see him move on to a Power 5 school and restore a great tradition no matter where that might be. He embodies my personal perception of what a head coach is all about and I love how he can build programs. I can't wait to see what ISU and North Dakota does this year.

All the kids in sports at MSU loved the guy. Track, tennis whatever. he supported everyone and they loved him for it. Probably the second most liked coach ever, ever, ever, ever in MSU history next to Holland. Easily one of the top 5 in BSC history. A big success at three BSC schools.

I can honestly say this, and I've been a Bobcat for a while now...there have been several "beloved" coaches and several others the folks were less than fond of. But never has there been a coach like Kramer, who at the mention of his name the lovers and haters arrive to defend him or take him down!

The haters probably never spent two minutes around the guy. Haters gonna hate as the saying goes.

Isn't that the truth!! It's amazing to me how polarizing he was, and still is, even though he's been gone for 8 years now. I'll be really interested to see how ISU fares this season. It's really important for them to follow up their success from last year, with another good season, so that boosters, fans and potential recruits don't view last season as just a fluke.

It's probably best if you just stop this theme now. The people that didn't care for him as a coach (including players and student-athletes that you apparently didn't count in your "all" statement  ) probably have reasons for their positions that are just as valid as your reasons for praising him.

"Haters gonna hate" ....never heard that saying. Maybe I shoulda used another term. Maybe "supporters" and "detractors" is better. I don't think we might be unique. I remember when he was hired by MSU. A guy I worked with had a son on the EWU team. His first statement to me? "You guys can have him...the guys full of "sh!t". I wrote it off as sour grapes, but the more people I met who were Eags, the more it was clear....some liked him with passion...some didn't like him with passion. I'm not a fan, but I'd want him in my foxhole. It's the nature of the type of passion he generates.

Of course they loved him. He let his players do whatever they wanted off the field, and look where that got us.

I'll always appreciate him for ending the streak, but the end of his tenure, and how he handled it, will always impact how I view him. I hope he's learned his lesson at ISU, but I somehow doubt it.

What? Nothing about his slamming U of I about not Recruiting Idaho kids or that vandals are picked for 1 win this year and that's against woffard at home ( I don't give U of I an easy win if at all) . I want to see the battle for second in Idaho - ISU vs UI. Idaho would get creamed in BSC FCS. :-k

I actually think Coach Kramer has come a long ways since his days as a position coach at Montana State. He said some real stupid things when he was at EWU. I use to cringe when I would hear his interviews, I thought he reflected very badly on the BSC in general back then. He learned quite a bit when he came to MSU as the head coach. He now has things figured out pretty good at ISU. His interviews are now entertaining, he sounds confident without sounding stupid like he use to. I still think his teams play too emotional which is a double edge sword. They will be extremely tough to beat if they are ready to play but they will drop a couple they should win and probably not win the conference.
Also, I think I would buy that car, pay too much and be happy just like BAC.
