Dammit! I sure hate those unfounded, vicious, mean-spirited rumors which turn out to be true!

Apparently he couldn't get his Ducks in a row.

I will preface this by saying just because he didn't get included with the Spring Graduates doesn't mean he is not on course to be a Summer Graduate.

If he's been living in Eugene since mid-June, and he still has classes he needs to pass in Cheney ... this could be difficult.

Re: #Oregon grad transfer: I'm told by a source close to Vernon Adams he is finishing up a math class in the next week or so as was planned.

Just spoke with source on Vernon Adams news. Nothing new for Oregon. He has always needed to pass SUMMER school.

I think its a conspiracy by EWU officials. I mean really-when has it ever been difficult for anyone to get their degree from EWU?

Every time I read about this I am reminded that the last time I called it "math" was in 8th grade. Just sayin'.

When they have some eligibility left!

On a scale of 1 to 10 of stuff I care about this does not even make the scale.

This is a non-story. He wasn't on the spring grad list because he had an online math class to complete. He's living in Eugene and is working out with players.

Adams has already been academically admitted to Oregon but is not yet enrolled in classes or eligible to use university facilities until he graduates from Eastern Washington.
How is he "working out" with the OU players? Is it not a NCAA violation to have a transfer working with your team before they are officially enrolled in your school?
At best he is going to get maybe 10 days to "officially" work out with the team before the season begins.

It's UO, not OU.

No, because VA and the WRs aren't working out at Oregon facilities, but rather a HS field in Eugene. The one disadvantage he has is he can't work out with his position coach and at UO facilities, but UO doesn't have a QB coach, so that doesn't really matter. Plus, players only get two weeks a summer with 10 hours each week to train with position coaches, but they can still give Adams a playbook and film to study.
This is a non-story, and watching Big Sky fans stumble over themselves to be the "first" with non-news has been entertaining, at least.

???? Really??? You have to be one of the most stubborn people ever... There are multiple NEWS reports that VA has not graduated! This is not a rumor. It is a fact! You lose credibility every time you bring this up.
On another note, While I understand that being president of the VA fan club has clouded your perception, he will clearly be behind in others in camp. The kid with three years under his belt should have a better understanding of the playbook than VA.
I expect VA to be an effective QB, but let's not name him starter just yet. I don't think OU, oops, I meant UO fans, see a huge downgrade if VA can't play. VA will get some extra consideration to start the first game because it is EWU and not USC.

There is a big difference between "did not graduate" and "is yet to graduate" because he had a summer class to take that Oregon had full knowledge of prior to admitting him to grad school.
Read the article I posted.

There appears to be several posters who actually are taking a perverted sense of joy in the perceived shortcomings academically of one of the most dynamic and exciting young men I've had the priviledge of watching perform at MSU. And I believe he was hurt in one of the games I watched him almost single handedly beat our Cats. I hope he graduates, earns the starting position and wins the Heisman after getting snubbed two years in a row by the podunk level voters.

You'd better hope that nobody notices you used five ellipses instead of three or four....
