Was amazed at the lack of fans. Just curious how long that bowl will continue if the attendance keeps up.

Attendance does not matter if the tv revenue pays for it.

I guess that being said, they feel enough advertising revenue being raised will make up for tickets. Really sad because that is a good place to play......if you subtract the turf. Not sold on the blue and really HATE the red.

You are correct sir! and if the ratings stink in the target market the sponsors won't be available and down goes the bowl.

The announced attendance was 18,223.
The Idaho Potato Commission has 2 more years left on its sponsor agreement.

I might be mistaken, but I believe the schools are responsible for the ticket sales....if they don't sell enough they have to shell out the difference

There must have been a bunch of tickets that were paid for by the schools, or the sponsor, or whoever, that went unused, because the other side would've had to be completely full, for there to be 18,000 actual "butts in the seats". What's the capacity of that stadium these days...maybe 35,000? The last time I went to a game there, I believe it was approximately 30,000, but I know they've expanded it since then. By the way, what teams played in that game? I don't pay much attention to these early bowl games.

How they made it this far is beyond me.
