That's too bad. The appeal probably helped the recruiting since it drug it out past signing day.

They've already had one kid transfer out of UNLV specifically because of this, though it's impossible to say with any degree of certainty what kind of impact this kid would have. There are a couple of articles about this in the Las Vegas newspaper and the Boobster actually seems to be acting like a man regarding the whole thing and taking ownership of their situation. It almost makes me respect him as a human being.

If anything, I believe this penalty underscores the difficulty in recruiting to a school like UNLV. UNLV and Laramie are where coaches go to die. And Pokey. Guess we cain't leave out Moscow, either.
