I don't know if the BSC has announced this yet or not, or if anyone already posted it, but EWU has obliterated the BSC total offense record this year. The Eagles have over 7,400 in total offense on the season. 4,853 passing and 2,569 rushing. EWU also has the record for yards per play in a season with 7.7, which should hold up over Idaho's 7.4 set back in 1993.

To put that total offense mark in perspective, Montana held the record with 6,416 in 2004 and that was through 15 games, EWU has played 14.

And get this, EWU doesn't even lead the BSC in average yards per game. That distinction goes to PSU at 540.5 to EWU's 530.1. PSU also surpassed UM's 2004 total with 6,486. WSU's record for total offense per game in a season is safe, however, at 580.9 set in 1991. They had 6,390 in just 11 games.

That Weber team must not have played any defense at all.

Wow. They're nearly 1,000 yards ahead of the record in one less game. I don't care what you think of EWU you have to tip your cap to that.

I'd be curious to know some numbers from teams when playoff stats didn't count. Some of the Dickenson led UM teams had to have huge numbers.

Its crazy to me that with all the offense, including the playoffs, EWU has only attempted 7 Field Goals all year and 3 of those were in the first game of the year. EWU hasn't even attempted a field goal in the last 5 games...

I think the 95 or 96 UM team holds the record for points scored. They were both around 500 yds a game, so probably close to 7,500.

95 team had 5637 in the regular season and around 2320 in playoffs for a fifteen game total of around 7957 for 530 yard average.

FCS records are meaningless. When there's no apples to apples comparison, every one of them has a virtual asteisk by it.

Well, that and the fact that playoff stats didn't count, but now do. How anyone can compare stats between seasons limited at 11 games and those that may play 16 games is mind numbing. Of course, so is the NCAA and the FCS.

EWU finished with 8,002 yards of total offense. 533.5 per game. 7.7 per play.
