Coastal is MASHING Griz

Anyone watching these poor little kids from the tropics of Myrtle Beach struggling in the 5 below weather??????

In fact, the offense that CC is running is exactly what I THOUGHT the Cats would look like this year.

The Griz talked a big talk about loving the cold weather against these southern boys, so what's the problem Griz? You know things are going south
when you throw a ball in the face of the guy who tackles you. Great self-control Griz.

Yes, we stunk the place up down the stretch, but all I've heard all week is "Just watch us streak in the playoffs!"

Well Griz, you have 30 minutes left to PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

At the half: 35-14 Coastal Carolina

Griz can't play defense. That's kind of been the case all year.

Exactly, which is why I was so baffled why MSU didn't chuck the rock all over the yard on them 2 weekends ago, especially with a dinged up Kirk and Johnson in the backfield. Still SMH on that one...

This is GREAT but what does it say about the BSC and MSU?

Meh, who cares. Next year will be a new season. Anyone with half a brain knew the BSC was weaker overall than it was last season. A lot of us were hoping against hope that that would not be the case, but such is life. As far as I'm concerned, MSU's season was lost with under 5 minutes left in the SMU game on a terrible 2nd down and 7 playcall. That decision (and the resulting loss) sent the whole season just a bit sideways and MSU never recoverd. MSU didn't have the defense to get very far in the playoffs, but it still would have been nice to make it, even if it was with 3 or 4 losses. Gonna be interesting to see how next season goes. Should have a winning season, but how many?

Did not see that coming... Thought the Griz would win given the conditions. Bad defense was their demise it appears.

.....and they had their suitcases packed for Fargo all week! They had me convinced that these southern boys can't handle the cold.

...and it appeared Mr Henderson can't handle his emotions on the field.

I didn't see that coming either. I should've, but I never quite got away from thinking UM had a great front seven this year. I figured UM would move the ball (they did) and would stop CC (they didn't). It really wasn't as close as the score. UM has had a knack for making scores respectable for years. Nothing wrong with that.

EWU seems to be stablizing after a slow start. Up 27-17 in last seconds of 3rd. NDSU struggled with Furman for a half. #5 seed Maine got knocked by UNH today. #6 and #4 play tough opponents tonight. Could easily see three seeds out after today.

Eastern has this one in the bag (34-17 driving atm). Imo, this is the toughest team they face in this bracket. EIU may turn into a shootout but Eastern is pretty good at playing in shootouts, so..

And then proceeded to beat up on Furman with an end score of 38-7. I'll be curious to compare CCU's output to what they got on Montana...

Good for EWU, but they just fumbled on the goal line. Still 34-17. A lot of time left.

NDSU has a great defense. The key is to keep them from getting anything going on offense. Coastal will have a problem doing that as their defense is not good. There really isn't a big time defense in the FCS besides NDSU. Maybe one of the CAA teams, but the Southland is all offense. So is the OVC and BSC. SoCon just lost its two best teams.

Why do you think that SDSU is a better matchup for EWU than either McNeese or Eastern Ill? Both those teams score more points than the Eagles. Eagles have already proven that they don't matchup well against the Southland.

Just curious.

I think they're the best team that Eastern will play. Not necessarily the best matchup.

So far as EIU and McNeese (and JState - looks like they might pull an upset), I trust Adams in a shootout, every time. Toledo is the only team to slow them down and I bet NDSU is the only team in the FCS field that can.

Not like I'm a coach or anything though. Feel free to give counter-opinions.
