Vernon Adams

I shouldn't jinx this guy right before the UM game, but he's been incredible so far.
I've only seen him play a couple times. Once was against us last year and I thought he would be one of these guys that's all over the map. Great one week, horrible the next. Was I way off or what?
Oregon State .... 235.7
W. Oregon ......231.4
Toledo ...........137.3
SHSU ............182.9
Weber............189.1
UND .............181.3
S. Utah.........165.5
Total.............184.6
24 TDs against just 6 INTs. 67.3 comp. pct. Even if you throw out the first two games, his QB rating is still around 170. He's carried it 67 times for 318 yards and three TDs. He's at 4.7 per carry. Take out the sacks and he's around 400 yards and about 6.0 per carry.

His worst game was Toledo, but it isn't that bad. 21-41-1 326 yards and 3 TDs. He was held to just two yards rushing on seven carries (sacked twice).

MSU - 17 team National Champions (most recent 2025); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Adams is way ahead of pace to become another BSC 10,000/1,000 Club member. Has 4,145 passing and 660 rushing in less than two years of play.

He's been amazing thats for sure, but he didn't handle the crowd here last year. 12-29-2, 140 yds, 1 TD. Probably the worst game of his career. Might he have trouble playing at um? Noisy fans might be his kryponite.

Never been to a game in Corvallis, but he managed to get a great win there in what I assume was a fairly raucous atmosphere.

I doubt it was all that raucous there. PAC 12 crowds don't get too loud for FCS games. I bet MSU or um crowds will be louder.
