NAU

Anybody else watching NAU-UM?
Baumann is a downhill runner that may pose problems for us next week. He reminded me a bit of Kirk the way he runs between the tackles. Might be a bit shifter in open space though.
NAU has a solid QB, they seem to have a complete package. I expect this one to be a battle.

Shoot, I posted in College Athletics before seeing this. Baumann - 2 TDs halfway through the first. I.e. run D will have to step it up...
Very glad this one is going to be in Bozeman.

While some have been critical of our LBs, I think we have the personnel at the position to keep Bauman contained. More importantly, I think our secondary is better than that of UM, so those play action pass plays that NAU has been running against UM will be less effective.

Yeah but they have to actually tackle, I am still worried about good run teams.

Miller had a good game because the defensive emphasis was placed on stopping the pass.

Total cramp call on the incompletion just now... NAU robbed.
NAU bringing it hot against the Griz.

We prepared to stop the pass today, next week we will be keying on the run game. Can't use today as a measuring stick because today our defense did what we needed to win, they took away UND's strength.

NAU has to fight two battles: against the griz and against the refs!
Unreal how the big sky refs suck so bad! That was clearly a catch for NAU on that big gain and wasn't even close. I understand that the close calls can go both ways but they should not screw up something that obvious.

They originally called it correctly, and apparently the coach was lobbying for the call to be changed. I don't imagine there are many conferences where the refs will not just put up with that, but actually change the call.
