Did I just hear that right? College Gameday is going to Fargo next week?

Way to inflate their egos even more, ESPN! (if it's true)

That really is cool...great exposure for FCS. I hope that's a sign that ESPN might give FCS more attention in the future...i.e more coverage of playoff games on the primary networks, rather than ESPN3.

Bet it's going to kill Herbstreit to say something nice about the FCS.

The first thing he said on the air after App. State knocked off Michigan a few years ago was, "They got lucky". Not, "good job, and they got a few breaks". Both he and Chris Fowler are pretty condescending when it comes to anything outside the top 25 FBS, despite visiting Fargo this week or an NAIA school a couple years ago.

Actually, most of the ESPN "talking heads" are like that. I love the show PTI with Kornheiser(sp) and Wilbon, but prior to the Sam Houston State game against Texas A&M (or maybe it was Texas Tech?), Wilbon made a really snide comment about how you couldn't hardly pay him enough to watch a game involving SHSU, or something to that effect. And of course this was immediately following the week when there were 8 FBS/FCS upsets. If the 2-time defending national runners-up couldn't get some love from Wilbon right after EWU and NDSU had pulled off their impressive upsets, not to mention the other 6 "play-up" wins, then I don't know what it would take for the FCS to get some respect from those guys. I also thought Cowherd might brag a little bit about EWU after their NC in 2010, since he's an alum, but I don't know if he ever even mentioned it.

College GameDay is heading off the beaten path next weekend to visit the South Dakota State Bison, the top-ranked school in the FCS, as they take on Delaware State. This marks GameDay's first non-FBS-school appearance since 2008. The slate isn't too deep next weekend, and what better place to go than see a couple thousand crazy South Dakotans?

They will probably show up in Grand Forks, like the championship banner. Or they may ask the people in South Dakota how far it is to Fargo.

Would be awesome if it was against a good opponent. People will tune in to see what the hell a NDSU Bizon is, see a bunch of fans and think hey that's kinda cool, then see NDSU go up like 28-0 early in the 2nd then turn the channel to something else.
