NAU, Poly and SSU

These three have flown under the radar.
NAU returns 18 starters. Nine on each side of the ball. No. 2 in scoring and total defense. Lost to Arizona 35-0, but only trailed 14-0 at half. UA had 393 in total O, but 182 came on three running plays. UA also scored on an INT and was +3 turnovers.
Poly beat San Diego handily. They return 18 starters and nine on D as well.
SSU lost to what is now a very good San Jose team. They blew four scoring opportunities having a FG blocked, missing a FG, and turning it over on downs twice inside the San Jose 10. San Jose has only lost two games since last year and one was to Stanford by 3 in a game that was tied going into the 4th quarter.
There are some great defense in the BSC this year. NAU, Poly, um are all top notch.

Don't forget Southern Utah, beat FBS Southern Alabama. Not a great FBS team at this point but FBS nonetheless. Also Weber surprised me by putting up 50 against SFA. The Big Sky will be a meat grinder.

Honestly outside of EWU taking down OSU, Weber smacking up SFA was the biggest surprise to me. Pflugard is down there, maybe they will be an offensive juggernaut this season for all we know. And he wasn't even coaching in that game.

Why would Pflugrad being there matter? The grizz were sixth in the BSC in total offense in 2010 and fifth in 2011.

We regularly scored 40+ a game once our offense started clicking under his system. Are you guys physically incapable of giving credit to anyone associated with UM?

Whatever. The grizz scored over 40 six times in his two years. One of those was Western State. Three if them are no longer recognized by the NCAA. The others were ISU and UNC. Wow. That's not even mentioning all the points your defense set you up to score. Your D was the main reason you had success in 2011 and it will need to be again this year or you'll be playing in the opening round at best.

The NCAA might not recognize them.......but the teams we beat did.
And they still know who really won those games.

Oh I see now. Kind of like you can take the celebrating a team does even after the ref overrules the call on the field. The fans were still happy and the guys dejected at the time. Can't take the fun they were having away. Haha, good one.

You or the NCAA cant do anything about what happened years ago or even yesterday.
Look forward not back.

I agree. The grizz cheated and got caught. Moving forward their program is tainted for eternity. There's nothing we can do to fix that. Just don't get caught, I mean, don't cheat again.

How convenient you can use that logic now. Please continue using it from this point forward; it oughta help clean up the board come cat/griz when all you griz fans bring up "The Streak" or 63/36 or whatever the overall series record is. Or spout off about "last 25 years" yada yada...

In his defense, AG isn't usually one to point to the old records, A lot of other fizz fans do but not AG
