Manning is a big time grizz booster and Ivy League grad lawyer. Same guy who calls DMac 'Irish lad' and 'black Jesus'. Claims that DMac avoids contact. DMac went head on into Coyle and another grizz for a first down in the third qtr. I recall that play distinctly. If anyone has link to a vid of it please post it. I don't recall DMac ever sliding. He probably has, but most of the time he goes head first.

I don't think McGhee is a pussy but don't speak for me when you say every Griz fan can't wait until he's gone. I wish he had 5 more years left. He hasn't done anything to UM so we should fear him. Yeah the team has a couple wins against us but neither of them were dominant and anyone that watches the games knows why we lost. (TOs). McGhee hasn't done anything numbers wise except he was fortunate enough to be on a couple defense led Ws.

In 3 games, he is 53/98 (54%), 556 yards (185 yards/game) 4 TDs and 1 INT, and 83 rushing yards. Certainly hasn't lit the Griz on fire, but those aren't bad numbers.

The mighty JJ completed under 50% of his passes for 164 yards (79 yards on one play), with 2 TDs and 0 ints in his lone Cat/Griz game.

Face it, lately the run games have dictated Cat/Griz games. Griz have ran at will the last few years. The Cats absolutely cannot run against the Griz in the way they'd like. We win because defense and turnovers.

If the Cats can figure out how to run against the Griz, I think we could win one convincingly. Until that happens, the Cats are going to struggle to score against the Griz.

Doesn't mean much. You've never had a great front seven. You'll be the best D we face all year though, except for maybe SMU. Won't matter. This O is loaded at every position this year. Teams will need to score in the high 30s to beat us.

this team needs to show me a lot more after the 2nd week in November before i'll allow myself to go into those games with confidence.

(1983) We have had a couple here and there or one outstanding player a few times but when you line up Wagenmann, Bienemann, Holmes and Takai you cant put together a better line up since 2000 or 2001 IMO. If Ginn gets it going this DL will be pure hell by the end of the season. I think he has the potential to be better than Takai but you know what they say about potential. We have decent depth this year as well.

I had confidence going into the NDSU game and felt good until midway thru the fourth when we just tanked. I was confident going into the UNH and Stony games, but not the SHSU games. We played poorly in the two previous games both years going into the SHSU games. We had glaring weaknesses both years in the OL. If we get that fixed, and it looks promising, I'll be sky high come November, December and January.

Hard to guess what um will do until the sanctions come out. A postseason ban will probably take them down a notch or two psychologically. The problem isn't talent it's coaching, right now. If the sanctions include practice time that will take is toll, too. Down the road the loss of scholarships will be another obstacle.

I have to agree with Celtic and ILTC. I've reached the point where I'm going to have to see it to believe it, with regard to our late-season play. And the issues have run deeper than just the OL. The defense hasn't exactly played great either, giving up 42, 49, and 34 points in our season ending losses the last three years. The other two BSC co-champs, EWU and CP, both came within 3 points of SHSU last year in the playoffs, while we got beat by 18, and it wasn't really even that close. The year before, UM almost came back and beat SHSU after falling behind by 21 early, while we got smoked by 36 points. In 2010, EWU beat NDSU, after we had lost to them by 25 points, even though we'd crushed EWU in the regular season. I don't know how to explain these disappointing performances, but I don't want MSU to become known as the Atlanta Braves of FCS football. But we'll deserve that label, if we don't break through soon, and make a better showing in the post-season. It would be great if that were to happen this season, in the final year of D-Mac's great career. I know we have the potential to do it, but at some point we need to turn that potential into actual results.

Thanks for getting this thread back on topic.
He's obviously very wealthy and could retire whenever he wants. This affords him the ability to be a full-time dick, which is a luxury few achieve and fewer, thankfully, take advantage of. Good for him. He seems to have accomplished a lifelong goal and is quite proud of himself.
