Two years in a federal prison for a medical marijuana grow and distribution. Just doesn't seem right to me when guys are getting out of jail in less time than that for crimes that involve physical harm to other human beings.

He was selling to people who didn't have cards, and federal sentences are a bitch compared to state and county sentences due to budgets.

That's where I'm at with it. And he didn't have to get into that game anyway. As I understand it, he already had a successful legitimate business. But he knowingly and purposely broke the law to make money. He might not be a dangerous or violent person but we can't pick and choose the laws we want to obey. And now he gets to be a felon for the rest of his life. Hopefully for his future's sake he'll be a successful entrepreneur again. It's his only hope at making a decent living again.
