If I'm not mistaken, the article states he's a senior with only one season of eligibility left. I thought the NCAA changed the drop-down rule to eliminate players transferring with only one season left? Doesn't sound like he's eligible to transfer to UC-Davis.

if they have graduated and the school they are transferring to had a graduate course in the players field they can transfer with one year of eligibility

The article also mentioned something about potentially getting an extra year of eligibility (so he'd have two years post-transfer) ... not sure what the story is behind that.
