North Dakota State voter fraud
Saw this on ESPN. Apparently ten members of the team plead guilty but the coach says that they will not be suspended. Don't get me wrong the coach makes the final decsion and who am I to say what is a suspendable case however I 100% disapprove of not having a more harsh penalty for screwing with votes. After all voting and fair elections are what our country is supposidly based on.

This was discussed here (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=28162" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) when it first came out. Considering it was pushed down to a misdemeanor it's understandable that the penalty will be light and handled internally. As to whether something like this should just be a misdemeanor and not carry anything more than a little community service time is a whole other issue in my mind.

Really shows the coach's priorities IMO. This is a major character issue with his players. Especially since a part of the ballot was geared towards legalizing marijuana.

No wonder they're ranked number 1 in the polls. They have Mickey mouse and jimmy Hoffa voting for them.

What if the players had been caught cheating on a test? They would be expelled from the university and kicked off the team. Is voter registration fraud much different?

Well in this case it cost Ducks Unlimited $250,000 in television ads they bought because they believed that the clean water iniative had garnered enough signatures to appear on the ballot. What if the players had been caught cheating on a test? I do not have a problem with the way the coach is handleing the misdemeanor I just have a problem with the crime only being a misdemeanor and had hoped the coach would take a more aggressive stance for the nature of the incident. But with 10 active players involved I am sure they let them off easy since they are so successful (sounds like griz punishment to me)

If those Griz players would have tried election fraud instead of rape, perhaps their season would look a lot differently than it does now!
