That's a perfect example of fan expectations. On both the players and coaches.

1st scrimmage of the fall and not only will the QBs suck the rest of this year but they are incapable of getting better NEXT year as well! Pretty funny stuff IMO! :D

The Griz will be O.K. at QB by conference time as they performed much better than in the spring and they should continue to get better each week. We won't have Craig Ochs back but this team can win without a spectacular QB. All we'll need is smart steady play and we'll be O.K. Heck, it wasn't until the Sac State game last year when our offense really started to take off. I think people forget this and only remember the last 5 games in Missoula.

True - I know if I had a nickel for every time a griz fan told me, in August, that the team will suk that fall.... :D

Well, that sounds like a good start at getting better to me! :D

No, my real reason is that they were getting people in the right places, checking off receivers (or so I've heard) and doing the things a QB needs to do that we fans don't know about or don't think about very much. Add that they were throwing the ball a bit better AND NO INT's and I'm happy so far! :D

let's face it, the great white Griz hope for this season is that the defense will win games for them. While the defense MIGHT be very good, please remember that the team ranked 117/117 in pass defense last season. They have their entire defensive backfield returning. But, is that a good thing, or a bad thing? It's difficult to do worse than 117/117.

Almost every Griz fan , in the know, has admitted that the offense will be the weakest UM has put on the field in 15-20 years. They will be one-dimentional, trying to run the deep handoff once again from a passing offense. It may be ugly.

The defense might very well be great. However, if the offense is as "three-and-out" as I predict, the poor defense will spend way too much time on the field, and give up points in the second half.

I think this season is the one in which Bobby shows the Griz faithful why I have been down on him since he became head coach.
