Griz get a taste of their own medicine
App. State has reinstated two suspended players for the game against the Griz and then will make them serve the other game of their suspension against a weaker Citadel. There are quite a few fans on Egriz mad about the decision. I just thought it was fitting looking at how the Griz have handled suspensions until this year (i.e. one quarter suspension
)

Re: Griz get a taste of their own medicine
um did basically the same thing last year, the Montana kid got a DUI in the off season, they announced a 1 game suspension, then rescinded it and said he would serve it during the DII game, then mid season they retroactively said that his suspension was served during one of the games that he didn't play, even though he dressed and traveled for every game.CATFAN_86 wrote:App. State has reinstated two suspended players for the game against the Griz and then will make them serve the other game of their suspension against a weaker Citadel. The best part of that whole thread is Player Rep saying how it looks suspicious and there's no way it would fly at UM.

Player Rep is just a joke if there is anything bad about the Griz he denies it till the cows come home. I use to go over to egriz just to see what was going on in Missoula but there is just to many stupid, ignorant people over there that I feel like a high school student again listening to all the drama.

Wasn't there a suspension or two in recent history at um where they were announced early in the year, possibly before the season started, and then served towards the end of the year against a DII, Western State, I think?

Re: Griz get a taste of their own medicine
There was a thread last year I do believe in which PlayerRep stated that all suspensions would be served during one of the games later in the year against a lower division team. I have a life and don't have time to search the stuff, but I do believe you are correct. Any griz fan who cries foul over what App State is doing is being very disingenuous. I didn't agree with it when UM did it and I don't agree that App State is doing it. I am not going to lose any sleep over it, because I don't think we would beat them either with or without their suspended players. I think unless we can stretch the field a little bit with the passing downfield, we will find it tough sledding against the much more athletic defense of App State.CPACAT wrote:Wasn't there a suspension or two in recent history at um where they were announced early in the year, possibly before the season started, and then served towards the end of the year against a DII, Western State, I think?

Yeah, it was the Montana kid for his DUI, but when they got to the DII game he played and when asked somebody said that he served it in an earlier game in which he didn't play, but he dressed and was available for all game so in my thinking he was never suspended.grizatwork wrote:There was a thread last year I do believe in which PlayerRep stated that all suspensions would be served during one of the games later in the year against a lower division team. Anyway, I hate it when a griz fan is rational and makes a good post like this
