Portland State vs. Carroll College

Any thoughts about this game? The Saints return a lot of starters including an experienced and fairly big offensive line.

How not close do you think it will be points-wise?

Steroids aren't tested at the NAIA level, so Carroll has that going for them. :D

PSU wins by at least 30.

My billfold disagrees.

I'll take a 21 point over/under bet.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

If I wasn't a broke college student I would do this...

This will be interesting to see, and not because it will be a good game. We don't often get to see NAIA teams play against D-1 competition, but the last one I can think of really showed the difference between the two levels. Two seasons ago, Idaho State won one game all season...a big win over Western. Granted, it was Western, but it was also Idaho State. You'd need to give me at least 4 touchdowns if I'm going to even consider Carroll...and I know they're good.

Haha, I didn't know your financial status or I wouldn't have done that. Plus I got a lot of respect for how well Carroll plays football and being a Helenan, I have to speak up a little bit.

Carroll will have a tough time running the ball consistently against PSU. This will put alot of pressure on Carroll's new QB. We'll see how he responds - but I think they will have a very tough time scoring many points.

I'd take PSU by 27.

over/ under is total points in the game. I sure think they will score more than 21 points, I would take that bet.

I have talked to a couple of players and coaches. They are stoked for this game. Before I was thinking PSU was going to crush Carroll, but now I am thinking it will be closer. Carroll will keep it close for 2 1/2 to 3 quarters and then PSU will pull away. Carroll is an extremely physical team and Dakota Stonehouse, Carrolls QB is a very physical runner and a decent passer. PSU by 17.

Only problem with the above prediction is that is will not shut up the Carroll fans! In a lot of ways they are worse than some griz fans.

While Portland State has a lot of new kids coming in, Carroll will still get killed. I will be cheering hard for them, but across the board their speed isn't even close to Portland State. I see it being like the Cats playing Minot last year. At least a 30 point difference.

Dakota Prukop -MSU Quarterback
Dude on my plane is wearin a Montana Grizzlie shirt. I'm pretty sure he's the reason our whole plane smells like B.O.

Kurt Davis-MSU Receiver
I needed a change for one, but for two, I HAD to go to Coach Haucks rival school.

I am no Carroll fan, but Carroll would hammer Minot.

I also think that Carroll will keep it close for about 3 quarters, but ultimately PSU will wear them down with their speed. But, I think the margin of victory will be a little larger for PSU. I'm thinking they're up by 14 midway through the 3rd, but pull away to win by 27 or 30.

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

PSU by at least 30. I think the speed difference will play a bigger factor, even if Carroll has a big line (just going on what is being said) i think PSU will run circles around them everywhere else. And second that on some Carroll fans being worse than griz fans, this will be the game the puts them back in their place. and with that being said go carroll, gotta pull for the MT boys!
