UC Davis Article
Figured I would post something to sway everybody's mind off of rape for a bit and hear about a new school in the conference. Not a bad article and gives the Big Sky a lot of credit for the talent that we have had. Also had to laugh and the statement he makes about Idaho State

Re: UC Davis Article
wow - low blow! you've really crossed the line now. i didn't think i would ever see a griz fan stoop so low as to make fun of the Cats for winning a share of the BSC title in back to back seasons. it especially hurts when the griz are setting such a high standard. dang dude - you got us there...mousegriz wrote:I had to laugh at the "two time defending champ" comment.......but that's just me.
on the other hand, i really appreciate your dedication (some would say obsession) with scouring all things Cats. i wasn't going to read this article until you pointed that out. thank you!

I've never seen mousegriz contribute anything of value to this board. He does nothing but pollute it with smack.

UC Davis has certainly had a better program over the years than Sac State and usually better than Cal Poly. I don't see why they should finish behind those two this year either. They are way underrated IMHO. I bet they will finish in the top half of the conference at least.

Re: UC Davis Article
Wow, I was going to argue with you about UCD being better than CPSLO, but since 2002 they have won 6 of the 10 games in the series. However, UCD has yet to make the playoffs, whereas CP made the playoffs in 2008, and beat UM in Missoula in the 2005 playoffs, so I still consider CPSLO to have the better program at this point. Both are solid additions to the Big Sky, though I hope the retirement of Bob Biggs doesn't kill the UCD program. He's been HC at UCD longer than a good portion of the kids on his team have been alive... They're bound to drop off a bit after his retirement.Weltercat wrote:UC Davis has certainly had a better program over the years than Sac State and usually better than Cal Poly. Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Re: UC Davis Article
Davis has had some very solid teams in the past. In no way do they take a back seat to sac state or cal poly, they have had a couple FBS wins in the last few years including one over Stanford. Biggs is sharp but I think they will be fine. They have a natural advantage in recruiting over Cal Poly and Sac State because of academics, although that can work against them as well.grizzh8r wrote:Wow, I was going to argue with you about UCD being better than CPSLO, but since 2002 they have won 6 of the 10 games in the series. Re: UC Davis Article
UC Davis has the advantage over Sac in numerous areas including athletic facilities, academics and college experience (ie. Davis is a College town and Sac is a Commuter College). However that advantage is not there with Cal Poly. Cal Poly is one of the toughest public schools to get into in California and SLO is a great College Town.Weltercat wrote:Davis has had some very solid teams in the past. Re: UC Davis Article
UC Davis did not have that good of year last year and it doesn't sound like they have improved too much in the offseason. That being said I think they will be a tougher game for us this year since it is in their stadium and they will want to try to make up for how they played last year.

I'm sick of all these monkey-fighting California teams in the Monday-Friday Big Sky Conference.
