Former Bobcat foe projected top 5 NFL draft

Ute's DL Star Lotulelei -- interesting article on how he almost didn't play college football

"He is projected by many NFL draft experts to be a top five pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. It's hard to believe that all of his accomplishments and accolades almost never happened."

His "little" brother Lowell is quite a sight as well, 6'3" 290, benching 380 as a Junior -- looks to be OL and DL at Bingham High (UT) this season

My (semi-self-serving) comment: Aside from Coach Ash, I have the utmost respect for Coach Kyle Whittingham watching how he runs the Utah program with high integrity, especially with many of the recruits they get, who could otherwise be trouble for the program. Small example: my son was at the Ute football camp a few weeks ago with hundreds of kids, and Kyle took the time to single out positive attitudes and unselfish team behavior of many kids (including my son :D ), and did not accept any foul language from anyone, which he and his staff enforced. Yes, he and his staff evaluated talent and provided good instruction, but the focus was on character first and that was clearly seen throughout the camp, and in the many Ute practices I've attended. Even though I'm not in Bozeman anymore, I get the impression Ash has set a similar tone with our program, which I have always been proud to associate with.
