In the BCS standings though, SC’s recruiting dominance has left its conference in shambles, one strength-of-schedule-sinking opponent after the next. Saturday’s 56-0 destruction of Washington somehow caused the Trojans to drop from No. 5 to No. 7.

God forbid you try to be the best team possible.

Little off beat here but I read on ESPN.com or somewhere where after a UCLA practice RN jumped on a helicopter to go watch a recruit in another part of LA (Riverside, I think) play a game. Nice budget.

I liked Obama's answer last night when Chris Berman interviewed at halftime of MNF. When asked what one thing he'd like to change in sports, Obama replied, "we need a FB playoff (for FBS)". "Top 8 teams".
