USC vs. Ohio State

Post by bozbobcat » Sat Sep 13, 2008 10:34 pm

Discuss-

I felt that this game would be a lot closer. USC took OSU behind the woodshed and smacked them back to Columbus. I think USC deserves that #1 ranking and they look like a national championship contender. Ohio State might win the Big 10 still and end up in the Rose Bowl...but we'd know what would happen if they met USC there.

Imagine how sick USC would be if they had a QB that wasn't below average.

But the Pac 10 is a weak conference  (Oregon, UCLA) so USC wont get the credit,

I hate the BCS system.

USC is jaw dropping. They are by far the best team in the nation right now. Their D is unreal. Tressel's post game interview was great, he was at a loss and he wasn't faking it. As Alpha said, imagine if they had a good QB. Which is kind of like saying imagine if the 2007 Patriots had a good QB.

My point was Sanchez is good but may still be the weak link on that team.....................................bad problem to have huh?

Yes, Sanchez could be their worst player. Boy is everyone else in trouble. I think I' hear you.

Sanchez has started three or four games in college, right? The guy has a lot of developing to do and he's already at least -- at least -- a very competent quarterback. That's good news for the Trojans.

Sanchez is a great qb. there are only maybe 3 programs in the nation he would'nt start for.

Well, that might be true, but the word "great" is overused far too much in sports. He's not a great quarterback, but he might already be a very good one. I still say he is at least very competent...but he will probably be good to very good. I think he would have been more heavily recruited out of high school if he hadn't been so determined to play at SC.
