Cal Poly in trouble

Post by grizgirl » Fri Sep 12, 2008 7:26 pm

Someone pointed out to me that the Mustangs are in a batch of serious jeopardy of even making the playoffs this year. Their game with McNeeseSt was cancelled and they only have eight games remaining. One is against Wisconsin, an almost sure loss, and another is against South Dakota a D2. So they have to beat all six of their FCS opponents to get to seven wins. The six are. SoDakSt, UCDavis, Northwestern, SoUtah, IdahoSt, and NoCarolinaCentral.

The McNeese St. game being cancelled due to the hurricane definitely hurts, but they have two open weekends and they're doing everything they can to schedule a game on one of those weekends. I hope they get one lined up because they're far too good a team to get screwed by the weather.

Thanks for re-wording that. That means you know you scored three TDs after being set up on the 34, 39 and 50, coming after a blocked punt, 14-yd punt and punt after a safety. Then their kicker misses a 27 yarder. CP's best field position was the 50.

But, yes, you did beat them. :D

Now Billings Griz, kicked their azz???? Beat them????? We all know the Friz will lucky to win that game. CalPoly won that game, but missed a 20 yard field goal with time running out. How many times would that kicker miss from that distance? Once per year.

Probably. Unless they're cat kickers. Then you could count on 11 or 12 of those.

Maybe Cal Poly should have scheduled a few Central Washingtons and SUU's?

If they go 7-5 they should be seeded higher than UM even if they go undefeated. We had a cake schedule again.
