ASU vs LSU

Post by Platinumcat » Sat Aug 30, 2008 10:21 am

LSU is currently up 24-0 toward the end of the first half. In watching the game, LSU's size and athleticism advantages are evident. But, I would also say that Edwards has not looked as sharp as I've seen him play (his receivers haven't been doing him any favors either though).

Be curious to see how this turns out....

ASU definitely has some issues this year (not that the LSU game should be any barometer, they'd make almost anyone look like a Pop Warner team), as you don't just replace players like Richardson, Lynch, Rauch, Brown, Jackson, Wozeah and Touchstone and not have a dropoff. Coco Hillary is good, and fast, but no where near Jackson. Going to be an interesting year in the SoCon...

I only saw the early game, but LSU was kicking ass (to be expected). ASU still has Armante (SP?), but I think they lost too much other talent to repeat. JMO

Well in ASU's defense, the WR's had a huge case of stone hands. Devon Moore is gonna be a good FCS back, and they have some talent on D still. Not as good as they have been in the past, but they will be in the playoff hunt for sure, if not the NC.
