Griz BB vs. Duke?
If this rumor is true, what do you all think of this? I'm glad they are stepping up the schedule, as we are. And part of me wants them to win, but at the same time, I hope they get destroyed. What's a Cat fan to do?

WOW! Talk about a conundrum. I've always said if Duke played the Griz I would hope that something happened to where the game couldn't be finished and somehow they both find a way to lose. There aren't two teams I love to watch lose more than DOOK and UM. Let's hope for the rare double disqualification when they both don't have enough players left to finish the game.

Out of purely selfish motives, I will cheer strongly for UM. The BSC needs as much help in the power ratings as it can get, and a Griz win would help in a big way. Then, when MSU beats the Griz twice and wins the tourney, MSU may benefit in a higher seed in the Big Dance.
When it comes to nonconference basketball games, I always pull for the BSC teams.

So, when the Griz beat Duke, and then we beat the Griz, and Duke wins the National Championship, we can rightfully say we deserve to be National Champs, right? Isn't that the way it works?Bay Area Cat wrote:Out of purely selfish motives, I will cheer strongly for UM. I believe we won a National Championship in college football one year that way ... even though the bastages in 1-A wouldn't give it to us.Au Blue wrote:So, when the Griz beat Duke, and then we beat the Griz, and Duke wins the National Championship, we can rightfully say we deserve to be National Champs, right? Too bad Larry Krystkowiak wasn't still coaching the Griz - The matchup of two coaches whose last names start with K that are hard to spell and pronounce...Au Blue wrote:Krzyzewski owns Tinkle.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
