Ok the thread name was weak.

Andy Desin signs with Wyoming

Andy Desin of Billings Senior has committed to play football at the University of Wyoming.

Desin was recruited as a punter by the Cowboys.

"We were looking for a strong, athletic punter," said UW special teams coach Chris Knutsen. "We will most likely redshirt Andy his freshman year. Our defensive coaches are interesting in playing Andy at outside linebacker or safety as well, but I want him as a punter."

Desin was an honorable mention all-state selection. He was also and academic all-state choice in football and basketball.

I hear we did not offer him becuase he could not roll punt.

According to the AA stats from last fall he wasn't in the top 10 in Class AA punting leaders and was All-State at DE, not punter.
