- UNC is 94-38 all-time in the NCAA tournament.

- They are 23-1 in games played in the state of North Carolina

- They have 22 Sweet 16 appearances since 1975 (when the tournament first expanded to 32 teams)

- They have been seeded #1 a record 12 times.


94-38 all-time. That just slays me.

Yeah, they're pretty good. What a matchup tonight! The nation's best offense vs the nation's best defense. (i'm not sure on the exact stats, but they are both right there) Play ball!

I wish this wasn't a home game for NC.

Everyone thinks it will be a UNC blowout, but I think Wazzu will surprise us.

I predict UNC won't play tonight, they will play Louisville tomorrow and win, but it won't be another 20+ point blowout. It will be much closer.

Ok, seriously......tonight Memphis barely beats Mich State in a thriller, Texas beats Stanford by 10+, Kansas beats 'Nova, and Davidson takes down Wisconsin for the upset.

Wow, I am actually leaning the other way on all of those except KU-Nova. I think that speaks to what a great Sweet 16 this is.
