USC Frosh / soon to be pro OJ Mayo in trouble?
USC's superstar freshman basketball star OJ Mayo received Laker court side tickets for a Denver / Laker game from Carmelo Anthony. This is normally a NCAA violation. The NCAA is mulling it over, but I guarantee you if this was an MSU basketball play (with most likely no chance of playing pro in the future) They would have thrown the book at MSU and the player. It will be real interesting to see what the NCAA will do about a this situation.

Put Melo is connected with Nike who is likely looking for their next shoe contract. I think it is pretty fishy and NCAA needs to apply their rules evenly or just sell out and turn into the world dominating sports league they want to.catamaran wrote:I think the out for them will be that Carmelo isn't related to USC basketball

I don't think it's against the rules and it shouldn't be. It's not like Carmelo is singling out his favorite collegiate athletes and giving them free tickets. He has done this before with kids. The NCAA needs to piss off.RMD wrote:why should they leave this alone if it is against the rules?longhorn_22 wrote:The NCAA should leave this alone.
