csn-info, one post on the board is plenty at a time. Please do not keep reposting this, especially in the wrong forum, thank you.

I apologize! I posted it once since it is of note for FCS fans at MSU, not just athletics at "other" schools, but couldn't find it when I checked back. There was no "moved" notice.kmax wrote:csn-info, one post on the board is plenty at a time. Please do not keep reposting this, especially in the wrong forum, thank you.
What do you mean by "personally dismissed due to the Ralph factor" (PM me)? Ralph Wallace is a great guy who leads our team. He has done more than just about anybody to support I-AA/FCS. Hard to believe anyone has a personal beef with CSN or Ralph. We exist to support the FCS.
Oh well.
If you thought this was the OFF SEASON for the FCS where there's nothing going on, check out what the College Sporting News staff has been reading. You can read them too at the new CSN Log. 95 news article in the first 14 days of 2008. The latest 10 headlines are linked at CSN too. Add that to the regular CSN news service of official releases and you get over 120+ items, nearly 10 a day.
Don't fall behind on your FCS reading!

There are a lot of people who have had problems with Ralph. For us personally, he once threatened to sue us (he does that a lot) for:csn-info wrote: What do you mean by "personally dismissed due to the Ralph factor" (PM me)? 1. Allowing someone to post on this board that Mr. C on AGS was Dave Coulson and that Dave Coulson worked for CSN. (Ralph said he didn't know if the first point was true, which was a blatant lie, and he then claimed the second wasn't true, even though Coulson's picture and bio and articles were on the CSN site, and currently sits on the "former staff" line).
2. He went hysterical when I cc:'d the two other moderators on an email in response to an email that he sent TO ALL THREE OF US. He was lecturing me on his privacy and how I was just showing off to my little friends ... not exactly a beacon of professionalism, that move.
3. He threatened to sue me for replying to his email that he sent me explaining to him that we couldn't accomodate his requests unless he was honest with us. If you are curiuos to see the exchange, I believe I have the whole thing saved someplace. I could post it if you'd like.
I personally want nothing to do with Ralph Wallace. I don't care if you post stuff on here advocating your site, that's cool. But I won't hestitate to remind people that it is affiliated with Ralph, as many people find that information to be completely germane in their decision whether or not to use that site.

CSN-INFO:
I think we all appreciate anything anyone does to promote FCS football. Anything that will showcase our teams to other followers across the country is a good thing and I know I'm always interested to find out more about teams from the south and east. I hope that someday an outlet can provide video of highlights from games across the country. I think that's the biggest thing lacking for FCS football. It would really build the intrigue and get the juices flowing for the playoffs.
It'd be so cool to go to one web site, click on a link and get a 15 minute highlight reel of about 20 games featuring top flight teams around the FCS.
Please take this as constructive criticism. Ralph and his threats to sue fits that prevailing 'stereotype' (I hate stereotyping btw) that people from 'back east' are looking for anything to sue someone over. That's the unfortunate and unfair truth. It's something folks in these parts really want to distance themselves from. An apology from Ralph would go a long way.
There are also those of us that see outfits like 'csn-info' as a start up media outlet (similar to espn or mtv) that is hoping to get picked up by some major company...espn/abc...mtv/cbs....etc. So there's that lingering doubt about the motive behind this. Sure, you're getting information to us, but are you just doing this to get in with The Industry.
I've listened to Ralph and I think he's a poor interviewer. Mike Kramer made a crack about his own team one time and it flew right over his head and it almost ended up looking like Kramer has seriously bad-mouthed his own team. Still, I appreciate Ralph's effort.
Again, I'm saying this to be helpful, not mean.

This reaks of..... excuse me I have to ralph. I don't know about all of you guys but I don't like (to) ralph. This guy coming to BN to advertise ralphs' product is laughable.csn-info wrote:Bobcats fans welcome!

I'll second that thought. Ralph has proven himself to be less than honorable, less than honest and less than reasonable in regard to how he runs his websites. He is no fan of anything that is Montana and any person that might consider themselves as such does a disservice to the State of Montana by patronizing the ralph-censored propaganda rags that he publishes.BAC wrote: I personally want nothing to do with Ralph Wallace.

"You have no new messages"
Have either of you met Ralph? Spoken with him? Know what he does for promoting the FCS and your program, and how long he has done it? Do you realize he is well respected and liked by media, SIDs, coaches, players, ADs, school presidents, commissioners, etc.? I don't believe you that Ralph ever threatened you with a lawsuit or that he lied to you. Frankly, it sounds to me like there are some people here who are grinding axes with false information. I asked Ralph about it and he told me to ignore it, that some messageboard people will do or say anything. So I will ignore it. Think what you want. I wouldn't have posted this message right now on the forum if I was PMed like I asked.

Fine. I'll post the email thread when I get some time to pull it together.csn-info wrote:"You have no new messages"

Oh, you better ask Ralph if it's okay for me to post those emails ... his last email conversation with me seemed to indicate that he thought it was downright disgraceful for me to cc the other moderators when I replied to his email, because he had one of those "this email is for the intended recipient ... if you receive this by mistake please delete" things on it (which actually speaks to email being misrouted, and means nothing at all about implying confidentiality, but he likes to go crazy over some bizarre and irrational things) ... so run along and get his permission to show you exactly what I am talking about.
If he doesn't give permission, well, I guess you know who's telling the truth (that would be me, in case there's any doubt).
I've been at work every waking hour for the last week or so, but when my time frees up, I'll go back and pull together those emails and post them on the board for everyone to see ... assuming you get Ralph's permission, of course.
I don't do the PM game, by the way (meaning I'm not going to waste my time PM somebody over matters of Ralph, as they don't merit any kind of hush hush approach). If you want to talk to me about matters concerning the board, such as Ralph's posts on this board and his emails to the moderators of this board, post it on the board like I did. We're all friends here.

I asked Ralph about it and he told me to ignore it, that some messageboard people will do or say anything. So I will ignore it. Think what you want. I wouldn't have posted this message right now on the forum if I was PMed like I asked.
Ralph may be your boss (?), and I can't deny that he works hard to help publicize I-AA football (I'll never stop calling it that), but he is an asshat... with some serious issues. I don't know BAC, and oftentimes disagree with things he says, so I don't feel biased when I say that I completely disregard anything having to do with Ralph - and I think most people on Bobcat Nation and Egriz agree with me there. The only person in the I-AA world I disrespect more is his little acne-riddled buddy Dave Coulson.

Ralph is not well liked in Montana (either school), and he brought it upon himself.

csn: One other thing I thought of last night on the way home from work ... in the interest of fulll disclosure and transparency (two major issues we have had in the past with Ralph, and it therefore unfortunately taints any organization he manages), please post your real name so I know who I am talking to.
This also provides a lot of credibility for the website you are promoting, so I assume it will be a good thing to do in any event.
And let me know when Ralph gives me permission (not that I need it, but I am extending a professional courtesy to him on this point, despite his lack of professionalism in my direction in the past) to post those emails.
Thanks.

I don't need to be in the middle of this, but I will confirm that I also have copies of every email that was passed between Brad and Ralph where Ralph threatened a lawsuit and handled himself with little professionalism. I am sure Ralph will never give "permission" for Brad to post them publicly, but I just wanted to assure you that it did happen and isn't something being fabricated by Brad.csn-info wrote: I don't believe you that Ralph ever threatened you with a lawsuit or that he lied to you. As with Randy, I'm not real interested in dredging all of this up again, but as a third party if it were ever needed I too could produce all of the correspondence that we as board moderators had with Ralph. Again, I'm not going to sling mud here but this isn't something contrived on by "messageboard people." Much like your boss, we take our work on this site very seriously and don't take kindly to to people who overreact and threaten when trying to discuss with us. There is a definite reason we and many others do not care for Ralph and how he deals with people.rtb wrote:I don't need to be in the middle of this, but I will confirm that I also have copies of every email that was passed between Brad and Ralph where Ralph threatened a lawsuit and handled himself with little professionalism. I've got $20 on BAC, and I'm willing to give 6.5 points.

This is no intern...this is Ralph himself. This is his MO. New screen name, acts shocked whenever anyone questions Ralph, refuses to believe even the most obvious criticisms, eventually it becomes clear the person is Ralph and then all the posts where the new screen name claimed otherwise disappear. That is how it goes at AGS anyway.
