N. Colorado beat San Diego St.

Post by mslacat » Thu Jan 10, 2008 11:27 am

Northern Colorado got a great win for itself and the league last night when they beat San Diego State in San Diego last night 62-56. It sounds more and more that N. Colorado is going to be a huge spoiler this season. I think they will be the team that on any given night at any location capable of knocking off any Big Sky team. If they were a little more consistent they would be a contender.

UNC improving in basketball would and is a great help to the conference. The men's basketball team was awful last year, and that combined with the lack of success in football and women's basketball last year is why people are down on UNC. But even though the men's basketball team at UNC is improving, we are all waiting to see if UNC can get improvement elsewhere. This improvement on the hardwood still seems to pale in comparison to what SDSU and NDSU are currently doing though, but time will tell.

MBB is just as important to the conference and having UNC competitive is a great thing for the conference. This could mean more Altitude coverage

I was looking at the box score of the game and couldn't but help but notice this name for No. Co. - Panagiotakopoulos. Does the school have enough money to get that name on the back of a jersey?
