Pure Speculation on Van Diest

Pure speculation on my part...I have heard nothing along these lines. so I'm not starting any rumors.

Does anyone think it might be a possibility that Van diest would go to Arkansas to be Petrino's Defensive Coordinator?

Once again....nothing has been said (at least to me).

I sure don't. His dad was basically run out of CC and then when Van Diest came in they built a new stadium and things took off. I don't think there was any link between Petrino, Sr. and Van Diest prior to his taking the CC job. I think things are pretty chilly between the Petrinos and CC. The son-in-law is coaching at Northern.

Not that I think the Petrinos hold anything against Van Diest, but I just don't think there was a connection and based on how Petrino was dismissed I doubt that Van Diest would've ever had much of an opportunity to interact with them.
