Eastern Washington New HC
discounting Coach Kramer, any speculation on who the new EWU coach will be?
Current WSU OC, Mike Levenseller?
The current Central Washington coach? Forget his name.
Former RB coach at Colorado State, Western MT head coach, Gt. Falls coach and Butte native Mick Delaney?
...just throwing out a few names.

Wulff took both the O and D coordinators with him.Cat Pride wrote:The last 2 coaches at EWU were promoted from within (Kramer/Wulff). So if Paul doesnt take his O and D coordinators with him, maybe one takes over the reigns.
I heard that the Cent. Wash. coach played at EWU?
Rumor has it that Central Wash. coach Beau Baldwin is happy where he's at for now (of course that could change).
Another name mentioned is Tim Rosenbach, current QB coach at WA St. who I think was a previous OC at EWU under Wulff.

People I talk to here in Washington also mention Rosenbach as the most likely candidate given his connections to the region.GOKATS wrote:Wulff took both the O and D coordinators with him.Cat Pride wrote:The last 2 coaches at EWU were promoted from within (Kramer/Wulff). I haven't talked to Mac, but saw where he may also be on the list. I don't have his official bio, but from memory:
QB at Missoula Sentinel
QB at EWU
Assistant under Kramer at EWU
OC at MSU under Hysell
Assistant at Louisville under John L. Lewis
Assistant under John L. at Mich. St.
QB coach for the Oakland Raiders
Currently OC at Fresno St.
Ah, hell, here's his bio:
Fresno St. University
Jim McElwain
Position:
Assistant Coach (Offensive Coordinator)
Experience:
1st Year
Jim McElwain enters his first season as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, joining the Bulldogs after spending the 2006 season in the NFL as the quarterbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders.
While his last employment was with the NFL, McElwain also has extensive experience as an assistant coach in the collegiate ranks. Most recently, McElwain served as the assistant head coach, receivers coach, and special teams coach at Michigan State from 2003-05. During his tenure, the Spartans played in the 2003 Alamo Bowl, reaching the postseason behind a receiving corps that set school records for receptions (312), yards (3,510 and touchdowns (21). He also coached 2004 All-America punter Brandon Fields, and the Big Ten Conference scoring leader, Dave Rayner.
Prior to his stint at Michigan State, he spent three seasons at Louisville as the receivers coach and special teams coach, helping the Cardinals to three consecutive bowl appearances in the 2000 Liberty Bowl, the 2001 Liberty Bowl, and the 2002 GMAC Bowl.
From 1995-99 he was the offensive coordinator, quarterbacks and receivers coach at Montana State, where he coached a record-setting quarterback, Rob Compson, and the school's career receiving leader, Chip Hobbs. His offenses set Bobcat records for pass completions and were among the most productive in school history.
He served at his alma mater, Eastern Washington from 1985-94 in a variety of cpacities, starting as a graduate assistant and working his way up to quarterbacks and receivers coach. He helped the Eagles to two I-AA playoff appearances in 1992 and 1995, and coached several players who set offensive records.
McElwain played quarterback at Eastern Washington from 1980-83, and earned a degree in Education in 1984. He and his wife, Karen, have three children, JoHanna, Elizabeth and Jerrett.
Mac is destined to be a HC, I just think he may be above the FCS level now, but........................, they've moved a lot since Bozeman, Karen is from the area, and Hanna and Liz are HS age with Jerrett coming up.
Like I said, nothing official, but his name was mentioned in a Spokesman Review article.

I don't think Rosenbach has a chance. Wulff fired him as the OC and he did manage to pick up with WSU as the QB Coach but according to the cougar folks I know he has a crappr rep.Cledus wrote:People I talk to here in Washington also mention Rosenbach as the most likely candidate given his connections to the region.GOKATS wrote:Wulff took both the O and D coordinators with him.Cat Pride wrote:The last 2 coaches at EWU were promoted from within (Kramer/Wulff).
