Should have been 23 months for every dog killed, plus another 12 for each count of cruelty (which would have sent him down the river for about 112 years. Which sounds about right to me).

Let Vick rot. It takes an especially cruel person to have done what he did. Maybe not everybody thinks killing a dog is worse than a person, but the mentality Vick must have had to be killing dogs ruthlessly is very troubling. What an eery, f'ed up guy. Let him rot.

With good behavior, Vick will be out by summer 2009. So he'll miss two seasons counting the current season. I'm sure he'll sign somewhere for 2009 unless the NFL doesn't want him.

I hope that he gets banned from the NFL.

They said there is a federal law that says 80% of the sentance has to be served, so I am sure he will get out early. (18 mo or so?).

Then he has to deal with the state charges and I hope they really nail the guy and hold him accountable for breaking the law.

If the NFL has a minute shred of dignity they ban him for life. They let the murderer Ray Lewis back in to play (allegedly) so I won't hold my breath that they do the right thing.

You may feel the Earth wobble on its axis just a bit, and the temp in hell is cooling even as we speak....because for the first time in recorded history, I agree with GIW 100%.

Vick needed to be in prison a lot longer IMO, he got off easy because he is a celebrity and has a ton of money.

I swear to my lord and savior this is true. I was at Quiznos last Friday and got into a serious discussion with a gal about the Vick situation and her quote was:

"If they need more space to keep him in prison longer just let out a murderer or two because killing animals is worse than that"

I asked her if it was OK if the murderer lived with her for a few months until he got back on his feet. She said no.
