Have you noticed how Egriz has been shut down for maintenance in the middle of the "Is Hauck going after a new job" debate.
Now I am not saying anything

I am just saying

I had the same thoughts this morning when I see them down,
I do know that they have been planning a server upgrade so I expect that is what they are doing today.

Working fine for me.
I know this was all just in good fun, but could I make a request to stop all of the "egriz is down" posts all the time? As one who has had to deal with this site going down all too often in the last year I feel Chris's pain and really don't like seeing messages over here every time they have a blip. Thanks.

Did you try to go into the board
eGriz.com is down for Maintenance. Please be patient and check back soon. To help speed up the process for you to see eGriz.com on the new server, delete your browsers temporary internet files and cookies. Also, restart your internet modem and wireless router (if you have one) by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Then reboot your computer. If that does not help, try it again after a couple of hours. See you soon!

Yep, actually I did (and just did again) and was able to read posts and everything. He moved the server last night so it will take a bit of time for the domain resolution to propagate through the internet, my dns servers just seemed to have already been updated with the new address. The board is working, but for some it may take till later today for your dns to update it's cache and it the new address.

I agree. Those of you that run these boards for us really put in more work than most realize. And the server issues of late at eGriz are in direct correlation to the increasing popularity of the sites Chris runs (Not just eGriz before anyone jumps on that).

Anyone notice Bobcatnation is flooded with bored Griz fans today? (like me)
Chris asked a bunch of us when he should do this, the new server will prevent the recent crashes he's had. And a bunch of guys just said why not get it over with. It should be back up this evening and then the bitching and moaning can continue.

Egriz did move to a new server. People still getting the "Down for Maintenance" message are ending up at the old site. This is due to cached DNS on their machine, it loading a cached copy of that page on their computer (clear your temp internet files, or do a force reload like cats2506 suggested) or possibly the DNS servers they use not having updated info on egriz.com yet. That process can sometimes take up to 72 hours to propagate everywhere before the entire internet sees the correct location of the site. Most likely though it'll only take about 24 hours for everyone to start seeing the new site.
For those who have rebooted their computer, cleared their cache/temporary internet files, unplugged their DSL/Cable equipment and plugged it back in, and still see the old site... other than modifying your windows hosts file to point egriz.com and
www.egriz.com to the new server (74.86.245.224) you'll probably have to wait for your ISP's name servers to get the updated info
Or....it could be Bobby Hauck hired a team of specialists to sneak in and pull the plug on Egriz, hijacked the domain, and pointed to the maintenance page in an attempt to distract people from the talk about him going to CSU or WSU
