Good luck griz players / team . . .

i've come to the realization that the distain that has grown more recently for the griz has very little to do with the actual football team - at least from my perspective - but more so with their growing / band wagon arrogant fan base. many (many may be too general - may be more like a few) of these fans feel like they personally have achieved something because the griz football team is successful - what?
they also believe because of the accomplishments of the football team, they "deserve" the right to act they way they do (see several posters on BN for examples) and wonder why people use the word like "hate" when talking about these fans. c'mon . . . are you really that dense?
in any case, i'm here to say good luck to the to the griz FOOTBALL TEAM (=players and coaches) in the playoffs - especially the kids that grew up in Montana.
as for these few griz fans that don't get it, please just disappear - YOU have not really accomplished anything now have you?

Great post!
I have been saying the same thing for years about the "good fans" they come to Griz games to be seen and network. Then they act like its their team.
This is why I wouldn't mind a few 6-5, 5-6 seasons to weed these bandwagon losers off my team.
Good luck as well to the players, they need it with this coaching staff.

Maybe a couple of more undefeated seasons and the fans that want 6-5 seasons will just go away. Sorry Alpha but your comments are about as far in left field as any you have ever made.

I don't have a problem with the team winning games, it just the fans that hopped on the business bandwagon I can't stand.

Alpha there certainly are some of those, just as there would be with any successful program. But they're releatively small in number. And from my point of view, if they want to give the program money and support, all the better. Some of the facilities we have we probably wouldn't without those "business bandwagon" fans. I say more power to them (and more money to the program). Why look a gift horse in the mouth?

That sounds pretty hollow coming from someone who didn't even attend UM.

Back to the original topic of this thread, I appreciate the sentiment. I myself know a few fans that are griz fans that didn't go to school there and went to a game or two and got hooked. I don't consider myself superior to them because I received a degree from Missoula. On the other hand I have a few friends who are big cat fans and did not go to school there either. They only became fans when Kramer became their coach and they had some success. Both sides have bandwagon fans and both have loud mouth instigators that like to stir things up.

What?
Get your facts straight before you lurch from the weeds and attack.
