Lex/fumbles
I was talking with a buddy of mine last night who is a die-hard Griz. He stated something about Lex Hillard that I found hard to believe, but cannot verify. He said that Lex has not lost one single fumble in his career (meaning that he has not turned it over to the opposing team). He has fumbled, albeit, very few times but either he has recovered his own fumble or another UM teammate covered it up. My buddy said Lex fumbled in the PSU game, which caught my friend off guard since it doesn't happen often, but the ball was recovered by a UM lineman. For our Griz friends who post here, is the interesting tidbit about Lex true? If so, that is a remarkable statistic for someone who has carried the ball as much as Lex has!

Re: Lex/fumbles
I am pretty sure he fumbled the ball away two years ago once... but I am not positive on that and I do know that when it happened, it the first fumble of his carreer. The 2nd and 3rd of his career will come Saturday if he plays, but that really is an incredible stat and kudos to him.Old Skool Cat wrote:I was talking with a buddy of mine last night who is a die-hard Griz. I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't give a damn.

Re: Lex/fumbles
I can't verify it, but I believe it may be true that Lex has never had a turnover. Lex's TO stat first came to my attention a few years ago during Hauck's radio show. While answering a question why UM had such a good turnover ratio Hauck said amazingly the Grizzlies had not had a turnover at the RB position all season. Then he stated that Lex had yet to have a turnover in his career. That really caught my attention and since then I can't recall Lex having a fumble until the PSU game two weeks ago.Old Skool Cat wrote:I was talking with a buddy of mine last night who is a die-hard Griz.
