Curse of the #2 ranking?

Post by kmax » Thu Nov 15, 2007 9:28 pm

Wow, Oregon is absolutely self destructing now that Dixon is out. Brady Leaf does not look good at all tonight. Could be yet another upset of a #2 on Thursday night.

Any doubts as to how much Dennis Dixon meant to the Ducks and how great a QB he was this season look ridiculous at this point.

No kidding Papag. Night and day difference in that offense going from Dixon to Leaf.

As if Leaf wasn't immobile enough already, now he's hobbled up too.

Here's to hoping the Jayhawks move to #3 at the end of the week and stay there until they beat oklahoma and move up to #1

Griz are ranked 3rd, not 2nd.

weren't the (overrated) griz ranked #3 when they were in Bozeman for Cat/griz a couple years ago? hmm.....

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Speaking of overrated, weren't the cats ranked as high as 14-15 this year? And where are they now?

Wasn't that just great getting to see the great Ryan Leaf being interviewed on the Oregon sideline. That's the most face time he's had since erupting in the locker room!

Oh my, I am so sorry. Is there really that much of a difference if you upset the #2 school compared to the #3. I guess since the Griz are ranked #3, when we beat them it won't count, is that how it works?

They'll move to #2 if they win - they were #3 in the BCS behind only Oregon and LSU.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

It turns out Dixon tore his ACL in the ASU game but had minimal swelling and played against Arizona anyhow. It makes that 39 yard TD run even more impressive. Best of luck to Dixon in the future, whether it is baseball, football, or grad school.
After aggravating a knee injury in Thursday night's game, University of Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon is done for the season and probably will require surgery on his left knee.
