Ugh ... they're doing that stupid thing again?

Hasn't this gimmick jumped the shark yet?

Further, has the phrase "jumped the shark" jumped the shark yet? Surely you can't be serious. Don't call me Shirley!

Just goes to show that the same 12 or 15 schools have fans who are more interested in a costumed college student jumping and prancing around rather than watching the sporting event that they paid good money to see. I like Champ and all and think he's great for the kids, but personally I don't care if he's seen during game time at all. Leave the pageantry to pre-game, halftime, and post-game, and focus on football for the 60 minutes its played. JMO.

(Note: I didn't single out any colleges by name, so don't accuse me of trying to start smack)

I couldn't agree more. I suppose I am going to have to listen to another year of how clever Monte is over at UM.

Is this in reference to Fonzy jumping the shark in Happy Days just before Happy Days went downhill?

I don't know who to vote for! My MWC background wants me to vote for anybody from the MWC but also to always vote against BYU. On the other hand, I can't bring myself to vote for Monte.

Okay, so it's just a stupid contest, and yet you are encouraging people to vote for someone other than Monte. Hmmm..... Seems to me that if it were nothing but a stupid contest, that no one would care if Monte won.
