Scouting Dixie

Looks like Dixie State won over the weekend, beating a team that beat them 37-7 last season, and played their opening game to a close loss as well. They look to be much improved... will be watching to see how they fare this weekend. Obviously I'm sure I'm not the only Cat fan slightly concerned about how we play in this game...

Of course there will be some concern, but I'm not worried about us losing or not looking good.

They got beat 41-14 by Mesa State their first week, but they put it to the home of the Revenge of the Nerds.

I'm not concerned, but they will have three games under their belts by the time we meet.

I have been looking at this game since Ash was hired. The one complaint I had with Kramer was that we always seemed to play at the level of our competition. A good thing when going against good teams but very bad when we play the Dixie's and Chadrons of the world. (no offense to either of those teams but we should be above losing these games.)

Revenge of the Nerds was shot in Tucson at the University of Arizona. I lived in the dorm behind the gym when the nerds were kicked out of their dorm (Cochise Hall).

I'm actually really interested to see what they do this weekend. I'm not a believer in the transitive properties of college football (we beat A, who beat B, who beat C, who beat the eventual national champions, so we're better than the national champions), but I want to see how Dixie comes out against a WNMU team who got thumped bad (47-0) by NAU.
