If you were in a league of your own, who would you blame if you don't win a conference chamionship or go to the playoffs? You folks provide more opportunity for a good laugh than they do in Greely!BR GRIZ wrote:It appears there's a consensus. Any school that averages 10 or 11,000 fewer fans than us at home football games does not deserve to be in the same conference as us.
Northern Colorado, what an asset!

I find it ironic that my statement is arrogant and asinine if I'm a Griz fan, but according to the general consensus of this thread, there's nothing wrong with it if I'm a Cat fanCat_gld wrote:If you were in a league of your own, who would you blame if you don't win a conference chamionship or go to the playoffs? As the God's of Bobcat Nation (aka moderators) have said before "Hey, it is a BOBCAT board"!BR GRIZ wrote:I find it ironic that my statement is arrogant and asinine if I'm a Griz fan, but according to the general consensus of this thread, there's nothing wrong with it if I'm a Cat fanCat_gld wrote:If you were in a league of your own, who would you blame if you don't win a conference chamionship or go to the playoffs? Agreed. I was just curious if you were aware of what I perceived BN to be doing.LTown Cat wrote:As the God's of Bobcat Nation (aka moderators) have said before "Hey, it is a BOBCAT board"!BR GRIZ wrote:I find it ironic that my statement is arrogant and asinine if I'm a Griz fan, but according to the general consensus of this thread, there's nothing wrong with it if I'm a Cat fanCat_gld wrote:If you were in a league of your own, who would you blame if you don't win a conference chamionship or go to the playoffs? But don't get me wrong; I don't want you to stop. I like the fact that now at least one Northern Colorado fan thinks Cat fans are worse than Griz fans, and encourage you to insult the rest of the league as well.

It would take many years for Bobcat fans to even touch the precedence you guys have set around the league.BR GRIZ wrote:Agreed. I was just curious if you were aware of what I perceived BN to be doing.

OMG that's funny stuff, they only had that many show up because all the fans who normally go to the games were at home watching the UNC team on COPS.GoBears wrote:Community support? NDSU has, but with SDSU in football doesn't hold much. They out numbered us last season, but the season before that, we out numbered them. In fact in 2005 when we played in Brookings SD, they had barely over a 1,000 people in attendance. I don't remember a game when UNC had less then 2,000 people. We were a 1 win team last year, of course we're not going to have a lot of people going to our games.kmax wrote:Alright, I know you're just getting defensive here and try to understand that what you are arguing about being competitive and almost beating MSU has nothing to do with why people are down on the fact that No. Col. was added. It has to do with fan and community support. Something that No. Col. has not shown to have alot of yet and the Dakota schools do. In football, we had SDSU come here in 04, NDSU come here in 05 and you guys came this year again. SDSU and NDSU had good travelling fans that showed me they have great support, No. Col. didn't have that. In addition the home attendance numbers bear out the same thing. So, while I don't blame you for getting defensive, you are getting defensive over the wrong argument here.GoBears wrote:You guys sure are talking a lot of ****** for being school that we were 1 play away from beating you in football last year, when we had about 7 scholarships less then you (in fact, I think we beat you in every statistical categorie in the game) and we and beating you 3 years ago in our first year in 1AA when we had like 50 scholarships. Nice and classy!
You want NDSU and SDSU instead? Fine by me but we have better facilities then SDSU (with the exception of their b-ball arena). They haven't made any football postseason apperances since the 1960's. And do you really want to travel to Fargo ND in November? NDSU doesn't even have their own football stadium, they rent it from the city. Plus they play in a dome!
