Yupp. Here I was getting an Egriz account to get more FCS perspective but all it’s done is make me hate dUMb even more

This so much this. Tommy would be 100X better than anything their garbage team trotted out today.

The Law of Averages is impenetrable. You simply can’t sustain anything in sports on a consistent basis. Pete Rose didn’t become a .300 hitter by getting exactly 3 hits every 10 at-bats. He’d go 7-10, 1-10, 2-10, 4-10, 0-10, 5-10, 3-10, 4-10, 2-10, 2-10. In other words, you can’t sustain a winning streak with just a couple strong phases of your game no matter how strong those phases are. You need to be strong in most phases. That way when one phase falters, one of the others makes up for it.

600 yds to EWU one week and 500 to JMU the next. The defense was opportunistic but definitely not elite. They got lucky for 2 games and the narrative of their season totally changes.

I thought JMU would win but in much closer fashion than that.
However, the list of teams that would win at JMU after losing their starting QB and top WR to injury early on is not a long one. Good season for the Gris!

Their defense didn’t play that bad against EWU, tbh. EWU averaged around 5.5 yards per play, which isn’t elite, but it’s not bad either for a defense. EWU just ran 109 plays, which is pretty unheard of.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 9:30 pm600 yds to EWU one week and 500 to JMU the next. I’m glad UM lost, I just wish it was with everybody healthy. Now they can complain how they would’ve won if everybody was healthy.

Well allow me to congratulate UM on a great season.
They persevered through a lot of adversity and made it to the quarterfinals. Good on them!
KIDDING!!!
TOTALLY kidding!!!
Eat it losers.

They are as clueless about football as you. Remember that time you pontificated that Tommy wouldn’t start against UTM because Vigan would lose the game and the team and then your guy McKay up and leaves? you were so spot on, not

Re: dUMb @ James Madison
TBH I am not as confident about the Cats winning tomorrow as I was before I watched this game. James Madison totally manhandled the gris and I don’t think having their QB1 or they’re starting wide receiver would have made enough difference. The goofy defense the gris run really hurt them on big plays today. We don’t do that and I think we can hold Sam Houston in the 20s but I’m just not sure we get to the 20s with our offense. And I will sleep on it before I make my final prediction but right now I’m thinking Cats lose 24-14 or something like that.

Unnecessary and completely off topic bud. You got one right, congrats. Act like you’ve been there before even if you haven’t.

Re: dUMb @ James Madison
Remember their big marketing campaign before the season started...."We're baaaack" or something stupid like that. They didn't go any further in the playoffs than they did in 2019. Actually, they really should have beaten Weber in the QF two years ago. This year they weren't even competitive with JMU. And yeah, it might have been slightly closer if Humphrey and Akem hadn't gotten hurt, but I think JMU still would have won fairly easily. I think the real championship game will be next week, when JMU plays NDSU.
