Probably a wise move for everyone involved. I assume he will still end up at UM, but this whole thing is pretty fresh, and you'd hate to have that take the spotlight away from the other signees.

I think a good coach would discuss this with the current players on the team. It would be easier to tell one kid he isn’t welcome then to watch a handful of players leave because they disagree with how it is handled and don’t want a toxic locker room.
