What game were you watching? Adams was constantly under pressure and made a ton of great throws on the run, some into tight coverage. 76% completion...
What were you watching, countless times he just heaved it downfield, the ball was horribly inaccurate and the receivers managed to adjust and make unbelievable catches. I am giving your receivers all kind of props here but Adams is a wreck waiting to happen.
You can knock Adams, but in his last 6 quarters of football, the national semifinal (Padron started the 1st half) and on the road against a Pac 12 (ranked) team, he has 10 td passes and 2 td runs. Pretty sure quotes like yours are what continues to fuel his fire...
and yes, EWU has reloaded at WR, a couple red shirted last year behind the all-americans.
MSU looked dominant on Thursday, hopefully they can pull off a big win this weekend, good luck!
ya really think he cares what some guy on a message board says
VA is a good QB,
I am just not ready to anoint him the next johnny football like SE wants. I think he has a weakness, and that is his accuracy when he is under pressure. EWU had a great group of WR that covered for that weakness last year, I saw the same things in the game the other day, and the new WR's made some amazing adjustments and came down with the ball. We will see how it goes this year but I think EWU will have some losses due to this weakness this year.
Pretty funny coming from a fanbase that calls their QB "black jesus" despite his inability to turn water into wine, or rather playoff appearances into playoff runs. I never said he was the next Johnny Manziel (for one, he's not a pretentious douchebag). It is however funny that you chose Manziel, considering that Adams was on the Jim Rome show today, and Rome and callers/texters were saying forget Manziel, Adams is just is good and without the attitude.

I also find you and other bobcats' posts hilariously hypocritical, as you all worship DM, and quickly dismiss the possibility that Adams is better, without any reasoning to back it up, yet claim I'M the one that doesn't know football.
First off, ALL QBs are less accurate under pressure... especially DM. I watched him make bad throw after bad throw when getting harassed by SHSU last year. What I'd like to know though, is why 2.506 thinks Adams is more inaccurate under pressure than the average QB, particularly using the stats from the OSU game where Adams completed 76% of his throws, despite facing two All-American DE's at the BCS level? He was extremely accurate, especially on the run to buy time. For example, on 2nd and 15 in the 1st quarter on EWU's first drive (11:37), Adams escapes the pressure of the left DE who broke into the backfield, and makes a great throw to Ashton Clark across the middle for a gain of 13, while having a LB closing in his face. Plays like that happened over and over. You calling him inaccurate is laughable, especially since he's been a touch more accurate than DM was comparatively in their careers.
Lastly, as for why Adams is already better than McGhee: look at the numbers. Adams threw only 4 less TDs than DM as a freshman, despite throwing only 2/3rds the attempts that DM had (obviously because Adams and Padron split time). Extrapolated out to the same number of snaps as DM's freshman year, Adams throws 34 TDs to only 11 INTs, with 3,504 yards. Facts are facts... I'm sorry some of you can't accept reality just because it doesn't jive with your blue and gold glasses.

We're hypocrits? We weren't making the absurd claim of VA being better than DM. You made that claim without any substantive evidence. Maybe you don't understand the word.
I'm glad you actually put some thought into this post and decided to also keep it clean.
One last thought, it's no surprise that it took you longer than 24 hours to put together a post that had more than 2 coherent thoughts that didn't result in obscene insults. You still had to throw out those insults because that's you, but you might earn a little credibility if you didn't always respond that way little guy.

So just because you throw hypothetical numbers out he is better? DMs numbers are real. He was also really the BSC MVP that yr.
Here's one. If DM would have thrown 50 TDs that year it would be better than VAs hypothetical 34 TDs. Since we're throwing bs numbers around let's just give DM an even 68 TDs that year so he doubles VA up. This whole thing is plain stupid. VA may very well end up better than DM. But right now, short of making numbers up, there is no evidence to support that.

VA could end up being a stud this year, perfectly plausible. He came on strong last year and is starting where he left off. I am very impressed with him. I just don't see why everything has to come back to comparing other QBs to McGhee. The fact that every other school compares their QB to McGhee is a huge compliment to him - he is the gold standard right now. Whether they want to admit it or not, whether they point out our playoff struggles, it doesn't matter. He is a first-team preseason All-American, and a front-runner for the Payton award.
EWU QBs benefit from the system in place in Cheney. Great offensive line play, a pass-oriented offense and great receivers. They bring in talented QBs to compliment all of it. EWU passed the ball 52.7% of the time last year, MSU came in at 43.9%. All the attention goes to McGhee but make no mistake, MSU has been a running team. EWU is a big play team which is why they are so hard to beat, because they can light it up through the air at any time, and Adams is going to continue that tradition. But realize this: EWU's success over the last 10 or so years has been been heavily in part due to the talented WRs they always seem to get. Guys who get yards after the catch, guys who win jump balls, and guys that are just bigger and more athletic than your typical Big Sky CB.
And please, do not "extrapolate" some numbers and then call them facts.

The numbers aren't hypothetical. Adams is a more efficient QB with the number of attempts he gets than McGhee is. It's no coincidence that Adams was 4th nationally in FCS last year in QB rating/efficiency. And PLEASE, with the whole McGhee is the gold standard BS. To you guys, yes... hence why the two are being compared, because on I'm on an MSU forum.

Why do you believe that semifinal appearances are the sole measure of one player? (Honest question - but I know you cherry picked that so you could include your own qb.)
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It's no coincidence that Adams was 4th nationally in FCS last year in QB rating/efficiency. And PLEASE, with the whole McGhee is the gold standard BS. To you guys, yes... hence why the two are being compared, because on I'm on an MSU forum.
Facts?
Here's one, Sport: McGhee's records > VA's records. Wait, does he have any?

Yeah, because Adams did so much to get them there. He threw 10 passes in the three games - 2 of them playoff games - prior to the semifinal against SHSU. Will someone page grizlaw or tampagriz or alpha?

Most individual yards in OSU history (518), tied for most passing TDs in a game in EWU history (6), first Big Sky player to win the CBS Sports Offensive Player of the Week, and others, I'm sure I missed. All while only having started 10 games. With the better part of 3 years left to play, I have no doubt he'll shatter any record DM manages to break.

Wtf are you talking about? Adams threw nearly 200 passes and 14 TDs before the SHSU game. He beat both MSU and UM, along with UND, Sac, and I think another without Padron getting any snaps. He did a lot to get EWU there. The hilarious thing is, if MSU had ever gotten past the quarters with McGhee under center, MSU fans would be touting that like tomorrow, and place it all on the shoulders of DM.
Too bad that will never happen.

No, how about YOU come back and tell us IF DM breaks those records. Because right now, Matt Nichols holds the career records for passing attempts, passing yards, total yards and TDs. Erik Meyer holds the record for attempts/INT ratio and efficiency.
EWU > MSU. Always has been, always will be.
