Who in their right mind would pay good hard-earned money to travel to Greeley, CO??? We already know what the outcome of the game will be, and if we want to hang out in a town that smells like sh*t, Missoula is a hell of a lot closer.

Okay ... in all fairness, now we are edging towards smack. But since GoBears did deserve one token shot for his shots at MSU, I'll let that one stand, but let's take it back to the topic going-forward.

Don't you mean from two many people, since that's about all that show up?

Sorry, but I for one am not out to make friends with any of our conference opponents. When we went 0-11 a few years back, we didn't get any sympathy from anybody, so don't expect it from us. You don't respect us - so what. Sorry we hurt your feelings (you know, there's therapy available for that), but all I can say is the only way the correct that situation is button up your chin-straps next year & bring it.

Since the topic was geered toward their attendence and support, what were our attendence numbers for the season referenced above? I remember pretty small tailgate numbers at a few of them, but don't have a clue on the overall crowd sizes.

I think we averaged over 12,000 in home attendance for Fball. As far as Bball, don't know, but aren't we drawing close to 4,000 for home games?

We averaged 7049 for the season it appears. Which was still good for 3rd best in the conference.

Thanks. That seems like a better comparison for attendence with Northern Colorado if they are going to use not winning for the reason.

Ok, I'll email our AD Jay Hinrichs and let him know that we're not welcome in the Big Sky. I'm sure he'll understand. Hell, as Egg Salad said, we're a d2 school! We should go back to D2 and make everyone happy!!!

Cool, after you are done with that email maybe you can take the time to realize the topic was that we would have preferred the Big Sky to look at the Dakota schools first and then add UNC in a few years after you have built up a larger fan base. Also since you have a lot of time on your hands, as evident by your time spent on this board, maybe you should build a Northern Colorado fan based website/message board so we can complain over there all day!

While you're at it, drop Doug F. a line at the BSC offices and ask him to reconsider his decision as well. Make sure you put in a good word for NDSU!

It appears there's a consensus. Any school that averages 10 or 11,000 fewer fans than us at home football games does not deserve to be in the same conference as us.

Perfect, that would put UM in a conference all of their own and it would be pretty tough to make the playoffs as a 1-team conference. Well at least your conference championship streak would stay alive!
