I finally figured out why the Griz lost to North Dakota!

They failed to bring in a former Bobcat coach to give them a pep talk before the game! It worked against Northern Colorado!

Maybe this Saturday they can get Kramer to take a few minutes out of his pregame routine and stop by the Griz locker room and get them fired up!

The top echelon of FCS (outside of the BSC) BARELY staved off disaster this weekend. There were some barn burners yesterday that all seemed to go in favor of the top ranked team (aside from EWU of course):

Georgia Southern needed 3 overtimes to beat Chatty.
NDSU didn't look that great and squeaked past S Illinois. S Illinois was up 17-10 in the 4th before NDSU scored 13 unanswered.
Old Dominion squeaked past Delaware by 5. Delaware had a few chances in the 4th Q to win that game but didn't come through.
Wolford didn't score a single point in the 2nd half to squeak past The Citadel by 3.
James Madison managed only a 7 point win at home against a 1-8 Georgia State team.

Idaho State is very, very bad. My hunch is that Kramer is playing young guys over better upperclassmen.

This. This this and this some more.
"After falling at Montana, 70-24, Idaho State (1-7) has given up at least 52 points in six straight losses"

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Here's a few I'm keeping a close eye on for week 10.

CAA:
W&M (2-6, 1-4) @ New Hampshire (7-2, 5-1) - W&M has had their number for 9 years now.
JMU (6-2, 4-1) @ Maine (3-5,2-3) - I think JMU is overrated and Maine has shown they can get hot at points this season

Southern:
Appy (6-3, 4-2) @ GSU (7-1, 6-1) - Appy playing for thier lives in this one. GSU can't afford to lose and end up 8-3 (after Georgia loss).
Woffod (7-1, 5-1) @ Samford (5-3, 3-3) - Every year Samford plays spoiler and beats good teams and loses to the crappy ones. Should be a great game.

MV:
Ill St (7-2, 4-2) @ Ind St (7-2, 5-1) - Ind St rocketed up the GPI of late (I think #4). Tough game for them today.
SD St (6-2, 4-1) @ S Ill (5-4, 4-2) - Find out how good SD St really is. S Ill is tough at home.
