I dont do predictions.

I will say everyone is giving EWU WAY too much credit this season, they simply are not that good a team, are they top 5 yeah but look at what is below them Weber, No Co, Sac St etc. Its not hard to be top5 in the BSC.

They are already setting up this weekend for failure. "Oh no Edwards is hurt, so is Johnson, Ena and couple others" The drama queens of the excuse world are out doing themselves this year already!

As for the game on Saturday.

It all depends on who our QB is, if we can throw the ball downfield (AB or SSH) we can win and beat them by double digits. If McKinney QBs then its a toss up. I know we can run the ball down their throats but when that gets working the coaching staff stops doing it for some reason.

If McKinney and Nguyen turn the ball over like they have shown a propensity to do then we lose.

Straight up player to player no turnovers we are a better team with more depth and would win 9-10 on their field any day of the week. When you add in the variables then thats why you play the games. This game sure isnt as cut and dried as last years Griz cat game where you guys stood very little chance of beating us, you simply didnt match up well.

I guess what I am saying all boils down to McKinney, if he starts and plays the majority of the game then we most likely lose.

If EW gets out to a big lead, the Griz are done. Their power run game does not do catchup very well and Mckinney cannot pass the ball accurately past 15 yards (especially with coverage on the WR). The first 2 quarters are going to be key. It also doesn't seem like the Griz staff is very good at halftime adjustments either.

It should be an entertaining game. We'll see how the EW front 7 handle how physical the Griz can be in the run game.

Agreed

We wont play catch up with McKinney back at QB.

I'm still kind of undecided on the um\EWU game. First thought after the NAU game was that EWU would blow them out, but as much as I dislike um they always comeback strong after a loss.

I agree with AG that EWU isnt as strong as everybody thinks, why else did they switch QB's, they cant go into conference with a QB that takes 6 seconds to throw the ball and only completes 40%. They need someone mobile to disrupt the pass rush, BSC teams would have a sack field day against Padron.

I re-watched the um/NAU game again last night and came away with a few things, without Moore they have no running game other than TM, and TM is nothing without the threat of Moore, but Delaney's delima is that DM cant handle all the carries, he would never make it through the season, since he already had a few dings. um's secondary is not good at all, and all their talk of having the greatest LB group in history has been thrown out the window.

I watched most of the EWU/Wazzu game and half of the Weber game. Weber is really bad this year, and EWU struggled with them. I dont know but I will probably pick EWU since they are home in a close game.

Did you think NAU was going to head into Missoula and spank the Griz on their home field?
No, of course not. But concerning the EWU game-I don't know the personnel of either team all that well and I don't know the x's and o's of the matchup (don't really care). But what I do know is that in the past 25 years or so, the griz don't do losing streaks. So based on that and pretty much that alone-I'm sure they'll win.

They also don't "do" losing to NAU, especially at home, losing to the Cats, at home, getting blown out by Sac State, missing the Playoffs, etc... But they seem to be doing these things lately. Not saying they can't win this weekend, of course it could happen. They are the underdogs which should help them. But if I were betting on the game, I would pick EWU.
