We absolutely had a live BOBCAT on campus in the 60's. He/she? lived in a caged lair tucked in a lot east? of Hamilton Hall. I don't ever remember it attending any sporting event. Died around 1966. Poisened they said. There was also a stuffed BOBCAT in a glass globe suspended from the ceiling in the entry way of the fieldhouse. Maybe it's still there???

We also had a juvenile alligator pickled in a jar in Lewis Hall who won the (then) National Championship College Alligator Races. Again, about 1966. "Speed-E-Gator" actually had time to eat most of another gator (I think Missouri) before crossing the finish line!!!! Maybe he's still there???!!!
P.S. I don't see this listed among the other National Championships proudly shown on this website. :?
